Welcome to the Photography department of The Korliss group.   

It is so very important that if you are going to be successful in this industry You Must Have A Comp Sheet and Portfolio.  

A comp sheet is the first time the casting director sees you, sometimes even before they meet you in person.

The comp sheet consist of one close up head shot (generally face and shoulders) and possibly one or two full length shots along with brief information about you such as your physical attributes, experience, and special skills.

The selecting of a head shot can be a challenge especially if you are new to the industry. Therefore the first step is to find a professional photographer to shoot your pictures preferably in a studio.

Once this done you will be called in to view what's called proofs (a sample of all of the photos you took at your sitting) .

Once you or your agent have selected the best shots they will be put into whats called a layout, this should be done by a professional graphic artist, yes this can get expensive.

However, sometimes the photographer is able to or works with a graphic artist that can possibly do this at reduced cost in trade for using your photographs for advertisement of their work.
